This pin was made in memoriam to my mother's dog who was killed this summer. The pumpkins were buttons off the jumper my mother used to wrap his body in before burying him. He was a white American Eskimo, so the white seed beads symbolize him. The white beads surround the pink heart (Casey in the ground), and the carnelian star above (Casey in Heaven). The two shades of purple and fushia are for the two plants my husband and I bought to be planted on his grave. Those are the colors of their flowers. Casey, we miss you.

The signature I use on the Bead Art message board. This is a beaded doll I made called "Humpty Dumpty Changed His Mind". It is brick stitch over a wooden egg for the body. The legs, arms, pants and buckle are peyote stitch. He sits on a grapevine bench. He took about 250 hours to make.
